The NCCU Sound Machine is a marching band of approximately 150 students that performs at all home games and select away games during the football season. The Sound Machine is a central feature of the university with many performances beyond football games with audiences of over 80,000.

Not only has the ensemble been featured front page on several local and out-of-town news outlets, the Sound Machine has performed for nationally-televised venues viewed by millions worldwide.
